Anchor (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our AI-powered coaching service.
When you use Anchor, we may collect the following information:
Anchor collects approximate location information (city and state) to provide personalized, verified local resource recommendations during coaching sessions — for example, suggesting a local networking group or professional development opportunity near you.
How we determine your location:
How location data is used: Location data is used exclusively to improve your coaching experience through relevant local recommendations. It is never sold, shared with third parties for marketing, or used for advertising or tracking purposes.
How location data is stored: Your city, state, and the method by which your location was determined are stored in your user profile alongside your other personal information, subject to the same security and retention policies.
Your control: You can view, edit, or remove your location data at any time from your dashboard profile. If you delete your Anchor account, all location data is deleted along with the rest of your personal information.
Anchor allows you to optionally connect third-party services to enhance your coaching experience. These connections are entirely voluntary — Anchor works fully without them.
Available integrations include:
How connections work: When you connect a service, you are redirected to that service’s authorization page (for example, Google’s consent screen). You grant Anchor specific, limited permissions through an industry-standard protocol called OAuth. Anchor never sees or stores your passwords for any third-party service.
What we access: Anchor requests only the minimum permissions necessary for coaching. For calendar, this means reading events and creating new ones — not deleting events or accessing other people’s calendars. For email, this means reading specific messages, creating drafts, and sending emails — not bulk inbox access. Anchor only accesses data that is relevant to your active coaching conversation.
How tokens are stored: Authorization tokens for connected services are stored securely by our integration provider, Composio, using industry-standard encryption. Anchor does not store your third-party service credentials directly.
How to disconnect: You can disconnect any service at any time from the Connected Apps section of your dashboard at anchorthecoach.com. Disconnecting immediately revokes Anchor’s access to that service. You can also revoke access directly from your Google, Microsoft, or other service provider’s security settings.
What we do not do: We never browse your calendar, inbox, or files without a coaching-related reason. We never sell, share, or use your integration data for advertising or marketing. We never access your data outside of active coaching sessions. We never take actions on your behalf (such as sending an email) without your explicit, real-time confirmation.
Anchor may send text messages for session reminders, confirmations, and coaching-related updates. By providing your phone number and checking the consent box on our signup form, or by verbally opting in during a coaching call, you consent to receive automated text messages from Anchor at the phone number you provide. Message frequency varies based on your scheduling preferences — typically one to two messages per scheduled session. Message and data rates may apply.
You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any text message. Reply HELP for assistance. Opting out of text messages does not affect your ability to use the coaching service.
We will not share your opt-in to an SMS campaign with any third party for purposes unrelated to providing you with the services of that campaign. We may share your Personal Data, including your SMS opt-in or consent status, with third parties that help us provide our messaging services, including but not limited to platform providers, phone companies, and any other vendors who assist us in the delivery of text messages. All other categories of data exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
During coaching calls, Anchor obtains verbal consent for text message reminders using language such as:
“Would you like me to send you a text reminder before your next session? I’ll send one message to confirm, and you can reply STOP at any time if you change your mind. Message and data rates may apply.”
If the user agrees, a confirmation text is sent immediately that includes opt-out instructions. Verbal consent is captured in the call recording and session transcript, which are retained as long as the user account is active.
Coaching sessions may be recorded for quality and service improvement purposes. By using Anchor, you acknowledge that calls may be recorded. Transcripts are generated from these recordings and included in your session recap emails. You may request deletion of your recordings at any time.
Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption and access controls. We use trusted third-party service providers to operate Anchor, including cloud hosting, email delivery, voice AI processing, and integration services. These providers are bound by their own privacy and security policies. Our primary service providers include Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), Resend (email delivery), Vapi (voice AI), ElevenLabs (voice generation), Telnyx (text messaging), and Composio (third-party integrations).
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. We may share data only as necessary to operate the service (e.g., with our email delivery provider to send you session recaps, or with our integration provider to connect your authorized third-party services) or as required by law.
We retain your data for as long as you use the Anchor service. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by informing Anchor during a call, using the delete option on your dashboard, or by emailing admin@anchorthecoach.com. Upon receiving a deletion request, we will remove your data within 30 days. Deleting your account also revokes all third-party service connections and removes all associated integration data.
